TRAVEL NEW ZEALAND PRESENTS THE BOOK OF NEW ZEALAND

FEATURING “THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG” 2013

TNZ created a local production team to bring pieces of the movie set and transform a parking lot into an interactive environment to host the premiere of the film, press and fans were invited to tour, touch, and taste New Zealand.

My role was production coordinator and accounting assistant.

Challenges: Rebuilding a complex fantasy realm. Site had to go through rigorous safety inspection and ADA compliance. Fragile and valuable set pieces had to be flame treated prior to public opening. Inclement weather impaired the solidification of the cement layer under lake town.

Accomplishments:
We were able to make all the adjustments needed to the site plan and construction despite the challenges, the site opened on time and in budget.
The creative elements came together to create a truly unique experience.

LONGINES PRESENTS: MASTERS OF GRAND SLAM

LOS ANGELES & LONG BEACH

2014 & 2015

Production Resource Group was awarded the contract for EEM to create a North American extension of it’s world renowned indoor Equestrian jump competition.
We gathered a team of discipline representatives to
design and budget Audio, Lighting, and Video equipment for the RFP response. We created a load in and installation schedule including staffing.

My role was PRG's production coordinator in 2014. I was PRG's production manager in 2015.

Challenges: To comply with equestrian safety, lighting needed to be placed with even distribution along all equestrian pathways. Competition regulation also presented the need for a minimum foot candle measurement in the arena. Equestrian warm-up needs determined time frame for equipment rigging and programming.

Accomplishments:
Budgetary constraints lead to a creative solution combining theme elements and custom designed lighting solutions (Example: Jump Light Creation). Effective budget management and client advisory after action reporting for a partnership approach year two.

U2 360°AT THE ROSE BOWL

PASADENA, CA 2009

Prior to event on-sale, the shoot specification included placement for 13 cameras. During the load in and inspection, Director Tom Kruger increased this to a total of 27 camera locations including a Spidercam rig. Over 97,000 attended this concert, it was also the first concert to be live streamed on Youtube.

My role was the local filming coordinator and liaison to event production and management.

Challenges:
Seat relocations had to be made for each of the added camera positions. The infrastructure of the Rose Bowl did not support rigging for the Spidercam. The film crew originated from Ireland which requires a additional permits for insurance coverage.

Accomplishments:
Local staffing with little notice. An entire crew of local riggers was added on an overnight call to install the temporary truss support structure on the roof with a water ballast counter weight. Successful seat section kills and relocates with few sightlines impacted. Experienced the differences in insurance requirements and permits for international coverage.

LARGE SCALE FESTIVALS AND CONCERTS

"Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, vision cleared, ambition inspired, and success achieved."

- Helen Keller

I've faced many challenges and learned so much from these events. I am grateful.
